Cozy Slippers for Cold Winters

by | Nov 26, 2020 | Kits, Wearables - Clothing and Accessories | 0 comments

I woke up this morning to a fresh layer for fluffy white snow at the McKay Chalet.  What a great time to put together my post on our cozy sleeper slipper pattern.

Our slipper pattern comes in five different sizes – small to XL – or ladies size 5 to ladies size 11.  However, to determine which size to use – you just place your foot on the pattern pieces and see which one fits – i.e. your toe and your heel are inside the stitching lines on the pattern.  They are really easy to put together – as there are only two pattern pieces.  Just click here to see the downloadable pattern- it is just $5.

Kayla just helped me put together a video tutorial in case you’d like to see all the steps. Just click here to go to our YouTube channel.

Sometimes one of the hardest parts is picking which fabric you want to use.  This picture came from fabric.com when they created a version using fur.  They even added a bow!

The slippers can also be ‘reversible’ – so make sure you pick TWO fabrics that you like.  We just added a couple kits to our website to make it easy – One kit is looks just like the slippers in our video, and the other has fun snowflakes for the winter.

Click below to see our kits.

The reversible slippers also come in a pattern for kiddos.  The smallest size will fit a newborn and the largest one – is just one size smaller than the small size in the adult pattern.

We also have another slipper pattern for adults called the Suede slippers – the pattern pieces are identical – but you put it together slightly differently.

We are offering two kits right now on the website – one is all suede with sherpa on the inside – and the other is fun animal print with a warm fuzzy and around your ankle. The kits are just $15.

There is also a You Tube tutorial to show you how to do the suede bottom slippers – just click here to go to the tutorial.

Hope you have fun making slippers – reach out with any questions.
